this is my final double page article production, i felt this was my best part of music magazine production, i felt that this part of my coursework looked the most proffesional, and i spent alot of time laying out the double page article and planning how the double page article would look like. i researched other magazines such as Kmag and ATM, these two music magazines helped me too produce my article as i used relevant and original article styles, to make my article stand out and make it appealing to my target audiences. i felt that using vinrant colours and unique and individual texts again helped to make it more appealing to my traget audiences etc. The connoting colours between the image and throughout the article give the article status, and again connote the individuality of the artist and the music that he produces, and the music that the magazine is based around.

these are my final front page and contents productions, i felt that i improved my skills alot to be able to produceboth of these pieces, and therefore waas happy with these productions, i felt that these looked proffesional and more authentic.

these are my student magazine front page and contents page. i felt that my attempt at producing bothe the front cover and contents page went well for my first attempt, i learnt new skills through producing my student magazine such as magnetic lasso and using effects and different vibrances atc to move and make my images more appealing and attractive.

This is my sketch for my front cover of my music magazine, i am really happy with how it ended out. it includes bold fonts, with text, shapes and images which will deffinetly attract the magazines target audiences. the front cover includes clinchers and advertisement which will make the magazine more inviting to read, with advertisment listing free things, also with exclusive interviews both clinch the buyers/readers attention. i have added these tag lines to make the magazine mopre appealing and so it attracts the audience towards the magazine.

magazine content analysis

When we were first strating to look into music magazine's we produced a quick content analysis, i found this earlier within my media file and thought i would upload it. the essay is below:

Magazine contents analysis

The magazine I am analysing is NME music magazine. I will consider how front covers and contents pages attract the readers.
The New Musical Express (better known as the NME) is a popular music magazine in the United Kingdom which has been published weekly since March 1952. It was the first British paper to include a singles chart which first appeared in the 14 November 1952 edition. The magazine's commercial heyday was during the 1970s when it became the best-selling British music magazine. During the period 1972 to 1976 it was particularly associated with Gonzo journalism, then became closely associated with Punk rock through the writing of Tony Parsons and Julie Burchill.
The front cover of nme includes the magazine heading which Is always in a fixed location, its bright bold colors and font stay the same every issue helping towards their brand identity.
The front cover includes the first starts of articles within the magazine to try and tempt the reader to read the rest.
The bright and bold advertisement in the front cover shows the reader they could win something within the magazine therefore the prospect of winning something tempts the reader to read more inside the magazine to find out how they could win this is called a call out.
It has an extended column inch as the column is wide and more than one inch deep. This is used to attract the audience more and trys grabbing the audiences attention.
